American Independent's Day Car Display at Linnwood House

Postby Ozstatman on Sun Jul 13, 2008 9:52 am

Today, Sunday 13th July, the Packard Automobile Club of Australia(PACA) participated in the American Independent's Car Display at Linnwood House, Guildford a western Suburb of Sydney. Below is a link to the Linnwood House website.

Among the participant clubs attending were PACA, Hudson/Rambler, Essex, Studebaker and Willys. About 40 cars were on display from the Teens to the Sixties and all got there under their own power, no trailer queens here arriving in climate controlled splendour. And people were encouraged to dress in the period of their cars as you'll see from some of the pic's.

Tried to caption all the pic's. If there are mistakes, sorry, but I did my best.

Here is a link to the web album containing the 300+ pic's I took.

NOTE - The editor of Cars of Australia, Jeff, was there videoing the event, and this was after he'd videoed a 600 car event earlier in the day! The videos should be on this website in a couple of days.

NOTE - I'll be doing a more in depth article for the Packardian for all those who can't access this site. So spread the word, get them all on-line and I won't have to do this twice!

It was nice to meet everyone there, Mal. 300 photos!

Hopefully the fuel pump parts will be here soon and we can drive out to the next one.

John,

Good to meet Annet and yourself on Sunday, Sorry I wasn't around to chat for long but the 300 pic's took up a bit of my time. I expect your parts will arrive soon so you should be back on the road shortly. We'll see you at the Shannon's day at Eastern Creek next month.
