Opening screen when logging in

Postby Ozstatman on Tue Oct 28, 2008 1:49 am

Mat,

When I log into the website and select "Packard Forum" "CLICK HERE" it opens with a screen showing what look like chat messages. To me it seems a bit confusing, although "confused" is my normal state of mind. I then have to then scroll down to find the Forums. Could you have a look at this to see whether this opening screen can be changed so that it eliminates the instant chat feature that comes up at present? It might be scaring away prospective members to my mind. Could you please let me know?

Mat,

Thanks for the change. The opening screen now does not have the "instant" Chat type format. However once past that screen it seems to re-appear each time a new screen is opened. Is this right? I have to scroll down each time to access the stuff I want.

Hi Mal,

Problem fixed. i know i have been quite slack on the website, now i've got a chance to get back into working on things. I have removed the chat feature. I will try and put it below the forum or create a seperate section for it. Well, I hope you are well and am looking forward to the American Independent car show at Linnwood house this weekend, and per usual ill be there in modern :-( :-( The Carribean won't be done in time. The gearbox & linkage is complete. Installing exhaust this week and dreaded Treadle-Vac brake system (until I work out a better system) She should soon be back on the road & the 34 won't be too far behind her. We get the crankshaft back this week. YAY!

Kind regards,

Mat,

Thanks for that,

Good to hear both cars are progressing and aren't to far away from completion.

See you on Sunday
